CQC to inspect Haxby Group in York and Hull
We’ve been chosen as one of the first GP practices to work with the Care Quality Commission to explore how they evaluate ‘at scale’ organisations such as Haxby Group.
In the past, the CQC has visited our sites separately across York and Hull and reported on them individually, depending on the type of contract held.
CQC will be inspecting our service on 22 and 23 November in York and 29 November in Hull. This inspection will cover all our York and Hull surgery sites. This will be one of the first inspections of its kind to GP practices with multiple contracts.
Dr Mike Holmes, Haxby Group Partner, said: “We’re pleased that the CQC has chosen to work with us to look at how they evaluate primary care at scale. We hope this will be a thorough and effective way of monitoring practices like ours and we’re looking forward to supporting the CQC in this piece of work.”
As part of the visit to our York and Hull surgeries this month, the CQC will be asking patients for their feedback on our services. The CQC wants to hear what patients think about the care they receive. If you would like to tell them about your experience, please go to:
or e mail firstname.lastname@example.org
CQC is the independent regulator of all health and social care in England. They have the powers to register, monitor and inspect all health and care services. Each year they inspect thousands of care providers.
