Launch of new telephone call handling service for Haxby Group York

From Tuesday 3 July Haxby Group York will be launching a new telephone service.

The Haxby Group ‘Centre Point’ telephone service aims to improve the way we deal with incoming calls to all our York surgeries.

Centre Point will be staffed by dedicated reception staff, whose only role will be to take calls and direct patient enquiries.

Rachel Brown, Haxby Group’s Patient Relations and Assistant General Manager, said: “This is great news for all our patients. We have listened to patient concerns and are confident that our new telephone call service will improve the way we deal with incoming calls. The new Centre Point service promises to free up front-line receptionists to deal with face to face enquiries, prescription requests and administrative related tasks.”

Patients should continue to ring the usual telephone number.

As this is a new service, we welcome patient views and feedback as we commence the new system and will seek to solve any issues or concerns as soon as possible.
